Ashanti: With the title of “Princess of Hip-Hop and R&B,” she won a Grammy award in 2002 for her breakthrough solo hit “Foolish,” which spent 10 weeks atop the Billboard charts, and was named the 19th most successful song of the 2000s on Billboard’s Top 100 Songs of the Decade. Today, she packs sets with her spicy soprano singing gems from her five studio albums.
Keyshia Cole: After she released her debut album, anchored by the Billboard Hot 100 single “I Changed My Mind” featuring Kanye West, Keyshia went on to earn four Grammy nominations, record five more albums, and star in three BET reality series, including Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is. Now, she tours in the wake of her latest release, October 2017’s 11:11 Reset.
O.T. Genasis: With the refrain “I’m in love with the coco”—not a reference to his brownie addiction—O.T. Genasis took over airwaves across the country, and soon rappers like Nicki Minaj were dropping references to his unique pronunciation.
Carl Thomas: Thomas owned the R&B charts of 2000 with hits such as “Summer Rain” and “I Wish”—and the latter became the backbone of Jay-Z’s “I Just Wanna Love You (Give It 2 Me).”
Also performing: Donnell Jones | Yung Joc | Goapele | and more
