MGM Resorts Parking Guide & Policies

mgm-parking-guide

So MGM Resorts International have finally settled on some dates, beginning June 6, 2016, to implement their new parking policy.  The MGM Resorts Parking fee schedule will be staggered.  Aria, Vdara, Bellagio, Monte Carlo and New York New York will begin on June 6, 2016, Excalibur, Luxor, Circus Circus(valet only) will begin on June 7, 2016, MGM Grand and The Mirage will begin on June 8, 2016, and Mandalay Bay and Delano will start June 13, 2016.  Let’s see how long it takes for Caesars to come out with giant banners saying “NO PARKING FEES”, and then 2 months later, charge even more than MGM.

The MGM Parking Fee is varied depending on property, the length of time, and also on particular status.  Refer to the chart above for full pricing details.  Prices may be higher during special events. To prepay for event parking, please visit: lasvegas.parkmobile.com

Alternatives to Parking at MGM Resorts Properties:

As a majority of people visiting Las Vegas do not drive a car, or rent a car, this will not affect most people.  However, the people who do enjoy renting cars, or others who like to drive to Las Vegas, there are some options.

  • Instead of renting a car, take Lyft and Uber everywhere!  It’s cheap enough that the total cost should be lower than renting a car!  Here’s our Idiot’s Guide to RideShare in Las Vegas!
  • Park at Caesars and other non-MGM properties.  Parking is still free at other hotels, for now, so do it while you can.
  • Stay downtown or grab an AirBnb nearby and Lyft or Uber to the Strip.
  • Obtain status with MGM.  Pearl is quite easy to achieve, just make sure you charge everything to the room!
